Is having an IPOD worthed?

Well heres the way i look at it. I have a 160gb ipod. Yet i only use about 10gb of it for every song on my comp. Couldnt i just buy a 16gb sd card for my phone (blackberry) for 15 bux and just use that. Better then carrying a cell phone and ipod around. Is there really much difference in quality?
